Yesterday's Meeting

22 July,2009By: Bob Daugherty
Hello APUSHers!

  • First of all I would like to thank Monica and Kim for showing up at our second APUSH summer session. Yesterday we went through the folder and I explained a little bit about historical theory.
  • Our next and last meeting will be on August 17th at 11:00 in my room. There is an assignment for that class. You are to have read the first chapter in Henretta, the reading called the colonizers in your textbook and APPARTS a DBQ that I passed out yesterday. If you don't have the DBQ, I will be teaching summer school from 12- 3 starting August 3, so you can stop on by (I'll be in room 410).
  • I have recieved e-mails from AJ, Sam, Monica and Cody. If you see anyone else, make sure they e-mail me. If they do, I will give them extra credit.
  • Your extra credit for today is to e-mail the answer to this question: What was Bacon's Rebellion?
  • Cody sent me an e-mail asking a question: "hey this is cody. i was wondering if we needed to take cornell notes or just read." To answer Cody's question, you are required to have the first two chapters read and notes taken by the first day of school. The reason why I have you take notes is that it ensures that you are reading the assignment.
That's all for tonight. More tomorrow.
